Nuvectis Gets Orphan Status for NXP800

FDA has granted Nuvectis Pharma an orphan drug designation for NXP800 and its use in treating AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 1a-deficient ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers. NXP800 is described as an oral small molecule GCN2 activator currently in a Phase 1b clinical trial for treating platinum-resistant, ARID1a-mutated ovarian carcinoma and in an investigator-sponsored clinical trial for treating cholangiocarcinoma, according to the company. Data from the trial are expected to be presented this fall, it adds.
