Nuvectra has submitted FDA-requested data to allow the agency to complete its review of a 2017-submitted PMA for Virtis, a sacral nerve stimulation (SNS) system for treating chronic urinary retention and overactive bladder symptoms. The company recently submitted supplementary chemical composition and biocompatibility data. The company says that in April FDA requested “supplemental toxicity and biocompatibility data.” It expects the agency to conclude the PMA review for a potential approval in the first half of 2020.
