# Nuvo Remote Uterine Monitor Cleared

FDA has cleared a Nuvo Group 510(k) for its InVu remote pregnancy monitoring platform that adds a new module enabling remote monitoring of uterine activity (UA). The company says the device uses only external sensors, allowing it to be used without any invasive component or the need for an in-hospital or in-clinic procedure. FDA’s clearance was based on data from an 80-patient clinical study comparing remote UA to the intrauterine pressure catheter, described by Nuvo Group as the current gold standard of care. The device was previously cleared for remote monitoring of fetal and maternal heart rates.
