# OCE Launches ‘Project Patient Voice’ Web Site

The FDA Oncology Center of Excellence has launched its Project Patient Voice Web site to create a consistent source of publicly available information describing patient-reported symptoms from cancer trials for marketed treatments. In a [statement](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fda-announces-first-of-its-kind-pilot-program-to-communicate-patient-reported-outcomes-from-cancer-clinical-trials-301082343.html?ref=fdaweb.com), FDA says the patient-reported data have historically been analyzed by FDA during the drug approval process but were rarely included in product labeling and thus have been largely inaccessible to the public.

The statement says the Web site will include a list of cancer clinical trials that have available patient-reported symptoms collected. In the first phase of the pilot Web site, only one trial will be included while FDA seeks public feedback on how the information is presented.

The agency says the visualizations and data included on the Web site are voluntarily provided by the drug companies that conducted the clinical trials. “AstraZeneca is the first company to provide patient-reported outcome data for one of their FDA-approved drugs and has collaborated with FDA to identify methods to display the information in a way that is informative to health care professionals and patients” the statement says.
