OCE Scientific Collaborative Research Areas

FDA says the Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE) Scientific Collaborative supports agency oncology staff who participate in regulatory science research. OCE says its research looks at applied research questions to address specific challenges arising during the IND and NDA/BLA review process.

OCE has identified these nine scientific interest areas and one cross-cutting area for its applied research activities:

cell/gene and personalized neo-antigen-based therapies for cancer;
health equity and special populations in oncology clinical trials;
immuno-oncology;
oncology patient-focused drug development;
oncology safety;
oncology trial designs, endpoints, and statistical methodologies;
pediatric oncology;
precision oncology;
rare cancers; and
(cross-cutting area) oncology real-world data and real-world evidence.
