OGD Sets Up ANDA Dashboard to Track User Fee Program

CDER’s Office of Generics Drugs has released a “dashboard” report designed to improve transparency and communication as it implements the Generic Drug User Fee Amendments of 2012 (GDUFA). The report includes a current submission status on the last three years’ Application Cohorts and the “total original ANDA workload activity” for all unapproved applications. For example, it shows 3,470 ANDAs in backlog; of these, 1,928 have had one review communication issued and another 842 are awaiting an industry response after an “additional information” request was sent from OGD.
