Oncolytics Wants FDA Meeting on Pelareorep

Oncolytics Biotech is asking for a 2nd quarter Type C meeting with FDA to discuss its planned registration-enabling trial for pelareorep in HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer. A company statement says its leadership is “optimistic that pelareorep, in combination with paclitaxel, could significantly enhance clinical outcomes for patients with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer.”

The company says pelareorep has demonstrated synergies with multiple approved oncology treatments. It says it is conducting and planning combination clinical trials with pelareorep in solid and hematological malignancies as it moves toward registration studies in metastatic breast cancer and pancreatic cancer, both of which have received fast-track designation from FDA.
