# OPDP Director Tom Abrams Retires

CDER Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) director **Tom Abrams** has retired effective 10/23\. Abrams spent 27 years at FDA, 20 of them at the helm of OPDP. Advertising and Promotion Policy Staff head **Catherine Gray** is serving as acting director. She has over 20 years of experience, including roles in clinical pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry. Gray has an undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and a doctor of pharmacy degree from Campbell University. She completed fellowships through the Rutgers University Pharmaceutical Industry Post-Doctoral Fellowship program and the Partnership for Public Service Excellence in Government Fellowship program.
