OPDP Director Tom Abrams Retires

CDER Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) director Tom Abrams has retired effective 10/23. Abrams spent 27 years at FDA, 20 of them at the helm of OPDP. Advertising and Promotion Policy Staff head Catherine Gray is serving as acting director. She has over 20 years of experience, including roles in clinical pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry. Gray has an undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and a doctor of pharmacy degree from Campbell University. She completed fellowships through the Rutgers University Pharmaceutical Industry Post-Doctoral Fellowship program and the Partnership for Public Service Excellence in Government Fellowship program.
