# Oregon Medical Cited Over Social Media Claims

CBER has cited Oregon Medical Centers in an [untitled letter](https://www.fda.gov/media/176622/download?attachment&ref=fdaweb.com) over claims it is making on social media sites Facebook and Youtube about its cellular product derived from a human umbilical cord. The letter takes issue with the medical facility referring to its product as “regenerative medicine,” “regenerative cells,” “regenerative medicine therapy,” “regenerative cell therapy,” “stem cells,” or “stem cell therapy,” in promoting it to consumers.

CBER says that such claims about the product would require an approved NDA or BLA. “We advise you to comprehensively review your website, product labels, and other labeling and marketing materials to ensure that you are lawfully marketing your products in full compliance with the FD&C Act, the PHS Act, and their implementing regulations,” it says. The letter also requested a written response within 30 days of its issuance.
