FDA has granted orphan drug designation to Marsh Biosciences’ MB-105, described as a first-in-class CD5 CAR-T cell therapy to treat relapsed/refractory CD5-positive T-cell lymphoma. The company [says](https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2025/01/28/3016342/0/en/March-Biosciences-Receives-FDA-Orphan-Drug-Designation-for-MB-105-a-First-in-Class-CD5-CAR-T-Cell-Therapy-for-T-Cell-Lymphoma.html?ref=fdaweb.com) it is developing MB-105 for several CD5-positive hematologic malignancies. It says the therapy employs a proprietary CAR (chimeric antigen receptor) design that enables selective targeting of malignant cells while preserving some normal T-cell function.
