Panel Meeting to Review Glucose Monitor

Federal Register notice: FDA has announced a 3/29-30 Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Toxicology Devices Panel meeting. On 3/29, the committee will discuss and vote on a Senseonics PMA for the Eversense CGM System, a continuous glucose monitoring device. On 3/30, the committee will discuss measuring blood glucose using capillary blood with blood glucose meters in all hospital patients, including those receiving intensive medical intervention/therapy and patients with decreased peripheral blood flow, such as with severe hypotension, shock, hyperosmolar-hyperglycemia and severede hydration (e.g., patients in intensive care settings).
