*Federal Register* notice: FDA is announcing a 5/22 Pediatric Oncology Subcommittee of the Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee meeting. Panel members will discuss the implementation of amendments to section 505B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act that requires pediatric investigations of certain targeted cancer drugs for original applications submitted on or after 8/18/2020\. The pediatric investigations are required for cancer drugs with new active ingredients, based on molecular mechanism of action rather than clinical indication. The panel will also discuss perspectives relating to implementation of this legislation and its impact on pediatric cancer drug development to date.
