Panel to Review CV Risk Assessments with Diabetes Drugs

Federal Register notice: FDA has announced a 10/24-25 Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee meeting to discuss the agency’s “Guidance for Industry: Diabetes Mellitus — Evaluating Cardiovascular Risk in New Antidiabetic Therapies to Treat Type 2 Diabetes.” The agency is promoting the panel meeting as a review of what it has learned the last decade, and consideration on how to move forward with cardiovascular risk assessment for future glucose lowering therapies.
