*Federal Register* notice: FDA has announced a 10/6 Patient Engagement Advisory Committee meeting. Panel members are scheduled to discuss and make recommendations on medical device recalls. Specifically, it will address when a company may recall a device after discovering a problem on its own, or after FDA raises concerns. They will also discuss the agency’s role in reviewing a company’s strategy for resolving the problem by assessing the relative degree of risk associated with the product and making sure the strategy effectively resolves the problem with the device.
