PDA Comments on Remote Interactive Evaluations

The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) says it supports the concept of remote interactive evaluations (RIEs) of drug manufacturing and bioresearch monitoring facilities during the Covid-19 public health emergency. It thanks FDA for providing more information on its thinking on the subject in a guidance.

The PDA letter says the association identified several areas in which FDA could provide additional information or guidance to industry, to further assist regulated sites to efficiently and effectively prepare for and respond to RIEs.

It lists three major themes as (1) notice and preparation; (2) report and observations; and (3) livestream video.

PDA gives detailed suggestions in a chart of line-by-line comments.
