FDA says Pfizer is recalling two lots of Relpax (eletriptan hydrobromide) 40 mg tablets due to potential microbiological contamination of non-sterile products. An agency [statement](ttps://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/pfizer-inc-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-2-lots-relpaxr-eletriptan-hydrobromide-40-mg-tablets) says the company initiated the recall because the lots may not meet its in-house microbiological specification for the potential presence of Genus pseudomonas and burkholderia. The company says it has not received any customer complaints or reports of adverse events related to the issue to date.

Relpax is indicated for acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults.

The notice includes Pfizer’s instructions for quarantine of the affected lots and the return of any recalled product, as well as communications with healthcare providers and facilities and with patients.
