PhRMA Wants Model-Informed Drug Changes

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) says it supports the inclusion of a model-informed drug development (MIDD) program in PDUFA 6, but sees areas of MIDD pilot that need additional clarification. The association’s comment letter identifies the areas as the goal, format, eligibility criteria, and selection process.

PhRMA also calls on FDA to structure planned workshops to identify MIDD best practices so they can inform the pilot program. “This will ensure that input and best practices from all stakeholders are considered during the MIDD pilot program process,” the letter says.
