Proposed Rule on Wholesale Drug Distributors

Federal Register notice: FDA is proposing to amend certain prescription drug marketing regulations to reflect changes to affected provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act resulting from enactment of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), Title II of the Drug Quality and Security Act. The proposed rule would remove or revise outdated and conflicting regulatory requirements to align with changes to affected provisions. Specifically, it would amend 21 CFR part 203 to avoid potential confusion with the new standards and requirements for wholesale distributors applicable under the FD&C Act (as amended by the DSCSA), and to make certain related, conforming changes.
