PTC Therapeutics says the Phase 2 CardinALS study of utreloxastat failed to meet its primary endpoint of slowing ALS disease progression. A company [statement](https://ir.ptcbio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/ptc-therapeutics-announces-topline-results-cardinals-trial?ref=fdaweb.com) says that while utreloxastat was demonstrated in the study to be safe and well tolerated, further development is not planned due to the lack of efficacy and biomarker signal.
