*Federal Register* notice: FDA has made available a final guidance entitled “Investigational Covid-19 Convalescent Plasma.” On 8/23, the agency issued an emergency use authorization for convalescent plasma that requires the guidance’s replacement. The new document includes a discussion to facilitate the availability of investigational convalescent plasma when blood establishments, hospitals, and healthcare providers collect plasma that does not meet the Emergency Use Authorization’s conditions. It also provides recommendations for healthcare providers who wish to administer and study convalescent plasma under an IND.
