# Reportable Essure Events Posted

FDA says it has posted the ninth spreadsheet of reportable adverse events submitted by Bayer for its withdrawn Essure birth control device. The latest spreadsheet covers February of this year, FDA [says](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/essure-permanent-birth-control/problems-reported-essure?ref=fdaweb.com#reports) (contains link to all spreadsheets).

The notice also says Bayer posted its third quarterly analysis report of adverse event information for 12/2020 through 2/2021\. That report contains 32,667 serious injury reports, 411 malfunction reports, and 19 death reports.

FDA says the limited information available prevents the ability to draw any conclusions as to whether the device, or its removal, caused or contributed to any of the reported deaths or other events in the report.
