Revised Guide on Covid Test Transport Media

FDA has published a revised guidance entitled Enforcement Policy for Viral Transport Media During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Public Health Emergency. The agency says that policy set forth in this guidance will help address public health concerns regarding the availability of such transport media devices and therefore help expand the availability of Covid-19 diagnostic testing. This update removes references to certain aspects of the test modification policy described in earlier versions of the Policy for Coronavirus Disease-2019 Tests During the Public Health Emergency guidance that was also revised.
