# Roche Sexual Disease Assay Panels Cleared

FDA has cleared a Roche 510(k) clearance for its cobas liat sexually transmitted infection (STI) multiplex assay panels. The company says the panels include tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea and chlamydia, gonorrhea and *Mycoplasma genitalium*. They enable clinicians to diagnose and differentiate between multiple STIs with a single sample.

Roche says the cobas liat system uses PCR technology to provide test results in 20 minutes or less. It is a closed system to reduce contamination risks and enhance the reliability of results, it adds.
