# Rocky Mountain Orthodontics Gains Orthocaps Clearance

FDA has cleared a Rocky Mountain Orthodontics 510(k) for Orthocaps, a transparent and removable appliance for correcting tooth malpositions. Orthocaps features two different “aligners” for both day and night use, according to the company. The devices are manufactured by Ortho Caps GmbH (Hamm, Germany). During each treatment phase, patients receive a set of aligners (Daycaps and Nightcaps), to be worn for two or three weeks each. At the end of each phase, new impressions will be taken to custom fit the next aligners, the company says.
