# ROi CPS Surgical Kits Recalled

ROi CPS has recalled its Regard Operative Lap P&S Surgical Kit due to the possibility it may not be sterile. The surgical kits were built with a recalled item from a separate Class I recall from [Nurse Assist](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/safety-communications/recall-certain-saline-and-sterile-water-medical-products-associated-nurse-assist-fda-safety?ref=fdaweb.com#table). “Nurse Assist, LLC recalled their 0.9% sodium chloride irrigation USP and sterile water for irrigation USP due to the potential for a lack of sterility,” a [recall notice](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/medical-device-recalls/roi-cps-llc-recalls-regard-operative-lap-ps-surgical-kit-due-possible-lack-sterility?utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=govdelivery) says. “In populations most at risk, such as patients who have a weakened immune system, there is a possibility that the use of the affected product could potentially result in severe or life-threatening adverse events.” To date, the company says there have been no injury or death reports. The single-use surgical kit contains surgical tools and materials for various procedures in different medical areas.
