# RPK Drug Cream Label Doesn’t Match Listed Drug Name: FDA

FDA says its review of listing information provided by RPK Pharmaceuticals, Union City, CA, for its clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream determined that the firm submitted a label for the drug that does not match the name of the listed drug. A 3/26 [Warning Letter](https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/rpk-pharmaceuticals-inc-613400-03262021?ref=fdaweb.com) says the agency previously contacted the firm 4/13/20 about listing deficiencies and sent a removal notification 5/28/20 indicating that the continued deficiency resulted in the product’s removal from FDA’s online NDC (National Drug Code) directory.

RPK was told to respond with a list of specific steps it has taken to correct the listing violations and prevent their recurrence, with copies of related documentation and a schedule for completing the corrections. The agency notes that the Warning Letter only addresses registration and listing issues associated with the firm’s product and is not intended to be an all-inclusive statement of violations that may exist in connection with RPK’s products.
