# Schell Returns to CVM to Lead Surveillance and Compliance

**Timothy Schell** has [returned to FDA](http://app.info.fda.gov/e/es?s=2027422842&e=189356&elqTrackId=78D8A052C380BCBFF284D754BEBE9730&elq=d0fd1eaedfd2469e9efc4dbb63fd514b&elqaid=6904&elqat=1&ref=fdaweb.com) to lead CVM’s the Office of Surveillance and Compliance, effective 2/17\. After 14 years at CVM, Schell left the agency in 2014 to join Elanco Animal Health to lead its regulatory affairs strategies in several different areas. He earned a Master of Science and Ph.D. degree in animal nutrition at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He also has an undergraduate degree in animal and dairy sciences from Auburn University.
