# Shreis Wins ‘Breakthrough’ for Tissue Control Device

FDA has granted Shreis Scalene Sciences a Breakthrough Device designation for Cytotron, a whole-body therapeutic medical device. The device is intended to be used to cause degeneration of uncontrolled tissue growth, the company says, and it is proposed for treating protein-linked, abnormally regenerating disorders such as neoplastic disease. The device uses rotational field quantum nuclear magnetic resonance for treating disease. Shreis says it is pursuing collaborations for clinical trials in the current proposed indication for use. It also intends to request Breakthrough Device designations in other solid tumors such as adult and pediatric brain tumors and lung cancer.
