**American Diversified Holdings** has reached an agreement to acquire **Brazos Biomedical**, a biomedical device development company based in Houston, TX. Brazos has a proprietary device, Auracis, in pre-clinical development to treat headache pain using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation technology. 

**BioCryst Pharmaceuticals** has announced a planned merger with **Idera Pharma**ceuticals. BioCryst is a developer of oral therapies for life threatening rare diseases and Idera is a rare-disease focused company investigating oligonucleotide-based therapeutics. The new enterprise will be named **Valenscion**. 

Contract development and manufacturing organization **Avara Pharmaceutical Services**, has acquired a **GlaxoSmithKline** consumer healthcare manufacturing facility in Aiken, SC. The transaction expands Avara’s services by adding additional solid dose capability in the U.S.
