An investor consortium led by **AGIC Capital** has agreed to acquire U.S. pharmaceutical firm **Ritedose Corp.** from private equity firm **Olympus Partners**. The transaction will help AGIC to expand its customer base and identify business opportunities in China, and the rest of Asia. Ritedose is headquarted in Columbia, SC and maintains a blow-fill-seal facility there.

**Oxis International** has agreed to acquire **Georgetown Translational Pharmaceuticals** that will give Oxis a class of close-to-market central nervous systems. Oxis has agreed to pay 33% percent of its outstanding shares to GTP to complete the transaction, which is expected to close within 90 days. Oxis’ lead drug candidate, OXS-1550 (DT2219ARL), is a novel drug that binds to targets and destroys cancer cells, due to the action of the drug’s cytotoxic payload. It is currently in an FDA-approved Phase 2 trial at the University of Minnesota. In addition, Oxis holds the rights to commercialize OXS-3550, also known as TriKE, a targeted immunotherapy platform drug that directs Natural Killer cells to kill cancer cells without drug-related toxicity. It is currently being evaluated in acute myeloid leukemia.

**Royal Philips** has agreed to acquire **Electrical Geodesics**, a U.S.-based medical device company that designs, develops and commercializes a range of non-invasive technologies used to monitor and interpret brain activity. The company’s portfolio of EEG hardware, software and acquisition sensors is intended to complement Philips’ existing portfolio of imaging technologies and informatics (or neurological applications. The combined portfolios will enable Philips to address neurological disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease.
