**Mallinckrodt** has agreed to acquire **InfaCare**, a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing proprietary pharmaceuticals for neonatal and pediatric patient populations. The transaction includes InfaCare’s developmental product stannsoporfin, a heme oxygenase inhibitor, for reducing the production of bilirubin, the elevation of which can contribute to serious consequences in infants.

**Bristol-Myers Squibb** (BMS) says it will acquire **IFM Therapeutics**, a venture-backed biotech focused on developing therapies that modulate novel targets in the innate immune system to treat cancer, autoimmunity and inflammatory disorders. The transaction will give BMS full rights to IFM’s preclinical stimulator of interferon genes and NLRP3 agonist programs focused on enhancing the innate immune response for treating cancer. Under the agreement, BMS will pay $300 million up front, and IFM stockholders also will be entitled to additional contingent payments of up to $1 billion for each of the first products from the two programs.

**Hubble Connected**, maker of connected nursery products sold under the Motorola brand, has announced its intent to acquire **Kaishi Pte Ltd**, the maker of a fetal heart-rate listening device. Under the transaction, the companies will integrate their mobile app platforms to allow the Motorola-branded nursery devices to be monitored in one easy-to-use app.
