China-based **3SBio Inc.** has entered into an asset purchase agreement with Canada-based biologics manufacturer **Therapure Biopharma Inc.** to acquire its contract development and manufacturing business for $290 million. The acquisition is intended to allow 3SBio improve its connections with global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in order to form strategic partnerships and license innovative products across the world.

**Teleflex** has agreed to acquire **NeoTract** in a transaction valued up to $1.1 billion. NeoTract is a privately-held medical device company that has developed and commercialized FDA-cleared UroLift System, a surgical treatment technology for treating lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. The device delivers permanent implants that hold open the urethra, reducing the prostate obstruction without cutting, heating, or removing prostate tissue.

**Aptevo Therapeutics** has agreed to sell its three marketed hyperimmune products, WinRho SDF, HepaGam B, and Varizig, to **Saol Therapeutics** for up to $74.5 million. WinRho SDF is used for treating autoimmune platelet disorder and hemolytic disease in newborns. HepaGam B is used for preventing Hepatitis B following liver transplantation and for treatment following hepatitis B exposure. And Varizig is used for treatment following exposure to varicella zoster virus for individuals with compromised immune systems.
