Contract research organization **Chiltern International** has hired investment firm Jefferies to investigate a potential sale valued around $1.3 billion. Chiltern focuses on early phase and global development in oncology, dermatology, neuroscience, endocrine and metabolic, ophthalmology, gastroenterology and respiratory areas. The company has more than 4,300 sites across 47 countries, providing comprehensive clinical development, medical and scientific affairs, data and analysis, pharmacovigilance and strategic regulatory services.

**NantOmics** has acquired **Genos**, a company focusing on next-generation sequencing, personal genetic discovery and research. Genos was spun out of Complete Genomics in 2016\. NantOmics plans to integrate the Genos technology, technical expertise and data visualization and research platform into its pan-omic analysis tools in order to add a boost to the company’s precision medicine service that integrates whole genomic sequencing, transcriptomics, predictive proteomics and quantitative proteomics.

**GE Healthcare** has acquired **Asymptote Ltd.** to gain access to its cryochain technology for sensitive cellular therapies. Asymptote’s cryochain hardware, software and consumables are designed to maintain the potency of cellular therapies enabling ultra-low temperature freezing during production, all the way to thawing at the clinic prior to administering to patients.
