Baton Rouge-based OncBioMune Pharmaceuticals is acquiring a generic drug, norepinefrine, that treats low blood pressure and heart failure from Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries. OncBioMune says it is acquiring the intellectual property rights and sanitary certificates — which confirms that the drug has been inspected and meets sanitary requirements — for norepinefrine to be marketed in Mexico.

Canada-based Taro Pharmaceuticals has entered into an agreement to acquire Thallion Pharmaceuticals. The transaction would give Taro rights for development of orphan drug candidate Shigamab, which targets E.Coli-induced hemolytic uremic syndrome that leads to kidney failure.

GE Healthcare has acquired wireless fetal monitoring company Monica Healthcare. The transaction gives GE rights to Novii, a wearable patch that monitors maternal heart rate, fetal heart rate and uterine activity to the portfolio of its maternal-infant care unit.
