Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma has agreed to acquire NeuroDerm, a clinical stage pharmaceutical company developing drug-device combinations for central nervous system disorders. Mitsubishi will pay $39 per share in cash, which is 79% above currently traded shares.
Emergent BioSolutions has agreed to acquire a drug used to treat anthrax from GlaxoSmithKline in a deal worth up to $96 million. Under the agreement, Emergent will pay $76 million cash upfront and up to $20 million in product sales and milestone payments to acquire raxibacumab.
Gurnet Point, a healthcare investment fund, has completed its acquisition of Innocoll Holdings, a global pharmaceutical and medical device company, for an estimated $209 million. Gurnet Point is also providing a $10 million term loan to provide additional resources needed for the continued development of Xaracoll, Innocoll’s late-stage surgically implantable and bioresorbable collagen matrix.
