# Single-use ENT Scope Cleared for Use

FDA has cleared a 3NT Medical 510(k) for its single-use Peregrine Drivable Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Scope. The company says the device is designed to provide ENT surgeons with unparalleled views of the sinus anatomy to enhance their surgical experience.  

The scope allows ENT surgeons to access the furthest reaches of the sinuses to visualize anatomic landmarks up-close, with excellent image quality and minimal resection, both intra- and post-operatively, 3NT Medical says. It asserts that the device features novel mechanics which enable surgeons to angulate the scope’s 2.3mm tip sharply, and then advance it further in the direction of the turn, all through single-hand operation.
