*Federal Register* Notice: FDA has determined that sodium chloride 23.4% in a plastic container (sodium chloride), injectable, 234 milligrams/milliliter was not withdrawn from sale for safety or effectiveness reasons. This determination will allow the agency to approve generic sodium chloride, injectable, 234 mg/mL, if all other legal and regulatory requirements are met. The product is indicated for use in patients who have special problems with sodium electrolyte intake or excretion, and for treating sodium chloride and water deficiencies, which commonly occur in many diseases.
