FDA has cleared a Soliton special 510(k) for modifications to its Resonic device and its use for tattoo removal and cellulite treatment. The modifications pertain to an autoloading cartridge and an improved user interface, according to the company. The device uses rapid pulses of acoustic shockwaves for treating cellulite and as an accessory to lasers for removing unwanted tattoos.
