Source Plasma Donor Screening Guidance

FDA has issued a guidance, Implementation of Acceptable Full-Length and Abbreviated Donor History Questionnaires and Accompanying Materials for Use in Screening Donors of Source Plasma, to recognize the May 2020 version 2.1 standard full-length and abbreviated donor history questionnaires and accompanying materials prepared by the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA). The document also advises source plasma manufacturers on how to report the implementation of the acceptable PPTA source plasma donor history questionnaire (SPDHQ) and accompanying materials.

The guidance supersedes a 7/2016 document on the same subject. Contents of the new guidance are Introduction, Background, Recognition of SPDHQ Documents, Reporting Implementation of Acceptable SPDHQ Documents, For More Information, and References.
