# Stay Sought in Vascepa 1st Amendment Case

An 8/7/15 preliminary order confirmed the company’s right to engage in truthful and non-misleading speech promoting off-label uses of Vascepa. Following that order, the company [says](http://finance.yahoo.com/news/request-continued-stay-court-proceedings-130000979.html?ref=fdaweb.com), the court was notified that the parties had spoken with each other and agreed to explore the possibility of a settlement. A stay is being requested until 3/18 because the settlement talks are continuing, Amarin says.
