Survey on Physician Perceptions of Boxed Warnings

Federal Register notice: FDA has submitted to OMB a proposed information collection entitled “Healthcare Provider Perception of Boxed Warning Information Survey.” The collection is intended to investigate healthcare providers’ awareness, perceptions, and beliefs about the benefits and risks of an FDA-approved product that carries a boxed warning. It proposes conducting a Web-based survey of providers to explore how a drug’s boxed warning information may influence their communication with patients, their treatment decisions and related decisions such as prescreening for risk factors or monitoring for adverse events.
