# Taro Recalls Clobetasol Propionate Ointment

Taro Pharmaceuticals USA is recalling one lot of clobetasol propionate ointment, 0.5%, packaged in 60 g tubes, due to the presence of *Ralstonia pickettii*. The company [says](https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/taro-pharmaceuticals-usa-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-clobetasol-propionate-ointment-usp-005?ref=fdaweb.com) it discovered the microbial contamination through routine testing. Some 96 units of the affected lot were distributed to two wholesale distributors between 11/16 and 12/6/21, Taro says.
