# TransMedics PMA Panel Meeting Postponed

FDA has postponed the 4/16 meeting of the Circulatory System Devices Panel of the Medical Devices Advisory Committee due to the coronavirus health emergency. Panel members were scheduled to review a TransMedics PMA for the TransMedics Organ Care System — Heart, a portable ex-vivo organ perfusion and monitoring system indicated for the resuscitation, preservation, and assessment of certain donor hearts ([see earlier story](https://www.fdaweb.com/panel-to-review-transmedics-organ-care-system/)).

Because of the coronavirus, FDA says it is canceling or postponing all non-essential meetings through April, and after that, it will reassess for future months. Where possible, it will use technology to host remote meetings.
