Trump Aligned Group Sues FDA on Ivermectin

America First Legal (AFL) has sued FDA and HHS for “illegally concealing government records related to the suppression of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and ivermectin to treat Covid-19.” AFL, which is run by controversial former Trump Administration senior advisor Stephen Miller, filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests last year to obtain documents to determine when and why government officials decided to discourage and suppress the use of HCQ and ivermectin to treat Covid-19 symptoms. “HHS and the FDA have failed to turn over these documents,” the group says in a release announcing the lawsuit.

“The true reasons for the federal government’s assault on HCQ and ivermectin have never been made public,” the release says. “We don’t know why – in the midst of a pandemic – the government went after doctors prescribing these potentially useful drugs and coerced pharmacies into rejecting prescriptions. But AFL will keep fighting to see that the truth about Dr. Fauci and his colleagues is exposed.”
