UCS Surveying State of Science Under Biden

The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) is preparing to distribute an online survey to tens of thousands of federal scientists in seven agencies to assess the state of science in their agencies under the Biden administration. “Surveying federal scientists to hear directly from them about their experiences is one of the longest-running projects that UCS undertakes,” the group said in a statement. “This current survey is our 10th survey since 2004 and every iteration has provided a wealth of data and information.”

The UCS survey parallels an effort by the House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis to document instances in which the Trump administration applied political pressure to FDA decision-making.
