United Exchange Recalls ‘Contaminated’ Eye Wash

United Exchange Corp. (Cerritos, CA) has recalled five lots of its Family Care Eye Wash due to microbial contamination. The company learned of the potential issue after receiving a product complaint. “Use of a contaminated product could be calamitous for any population since there is a reasonable probability of a potentially sight threatening eye infection,” an agency recall notice says. The eye wash is used to flush the eye to relieve irritation, stinging, or itching by removing foreign material such as air pollutants or chlorinated water. It was distributed nationwide to wholesale and retail facilities.
