# Updated Guide on Covid-19 Convalescent Plasma

FDA has issued an [updated guidance](https://www.fda.gov/media/136798/download?ref=fdaweb.com) on “Investigational Covid-19 Convalescent Plasma.” The document provides recommendations to health care providers and investigators on the administration and study of investigational convalescent plasma collected from individuals who have recovered from Covid-19\. It also provides recommendations to blood establishments on collecting convalescent plasma. Additionally, the guidance clarifies IND requirements and discusses expanded access INDs or single-patient emergency INDs.
