# USP Launches Nitrosamines Analytical Hub

The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) has launched a Nitrosamines Analytical Hub, the latest tool in its suite of solutions to address the evolving nitrosamines crisis. USP [describes](https://qualitymatters.usp.org/nitrosamine-impurities-latest-usp-tool-further-aids-understanding-and-control?utm%5Fsource=blogsubscribers&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcampaign=blognotification) the tool as a public, Web-based repository of downloadable analytical procedures to test for nitrosamine impurities and related substances in pharmaceuticals.

The Hub’s procedures are curated by USP’s science staff through internal development and validation or scientific review of donated materials. USP says the procedures “are complementary tools to USP’s official standards that can be of great benefit to those trying to understand and control for nitrosamines that may arise throughout a product’s life cycle.”
