# Valneva Sells FDA Voucher for $103 Million

Valneva SE, a French specialty vaccine company, says it sold a Priority Review Voucher (PRV) it received from FDA for $103 million. The company [says](https://valneva.com/press-release/valneva-announces-sale-of-priority-review-voucher-for-103-million/?ref=fdaweb.com) it was awarded the tropical disease PRV in 11/2023 following agency approval of its Ixchiq single-dose, live attenuated vaccine indicated to prevent disease caused by chikungunya virus in individuals age 18 and older who are at increased risk of exposure to the virus.

The company says it will use the proceeds from the sale for its research and development projects, including the co-development of its Phase 3 vaccine candidate against Lyme disease, additional clinical trials for Ixchiq, and the expansion of its clinical pipeline.
